How did we get here ?

“How Did We Get Here?” is an original photographic and multimedia project initiated in 2022 with the support of the Connecticut Arts Council & Foundation. The project aims to explore the roots, immigration stories, and artistic contributions of artists connected to Bridgeport, Connecticut. To date, seven artists have participated in the project. Their portraits and short documentary films have been presented in two solo exhibitions: in 2022 at City Lights Gallery in Bridgeport, CT, and in 2024 at MNTD Studios, also in Bridgeport, CT. Individual portraits have also been included in group exhibitions and featured in the press. The portraits were created using digital techniques and depict the artists in a studio setting, often referencing their cultural roots or the artistic discipline in which they work. The photographs are presented in a large format (90 cm × 120 cm).
